Do Grandmothers have a special touch that new Mothers do not?

I've been wondering that same thing, because my baby never seems to fuss when one of her grandmothers is around! I feel bad that I can't comfort her the way they seem to, but they all assure me that to her, there's no one like mommy. They also point out that they're not with the baby 24/7, so they're not experiencing the constant stress of motherhood like I am.
