Is there a special touch Grandmothers have that New Mothers or experienced Mothers don't have?

Sometimes grandmothers are more relaxed with their grandchildren than the mothers. Babies can pick up on that and it makes them more relaxed. It's easier to be a grandmother because you don't have the full responsibility for that child that a mother has -- you can just enjoy them and then give them back. You're lucky to have your mom so close and willing to give you a break!
